Overview

The commitment to making a difference in society is innately woven into the fabric of the Group's functions. This principle, from the conception of our vision to every initiative undertaken, embodies our belief in giving back to the community, shaping it as an integral part of the Group's business ethos.

GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF) is the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of the GMR Group. Its mandate is to develop social infrastructure and enhance the quality of life of communities around the locations where the Group has a presence.

Working collaboratively with these communities, the Foundation ensures that our efforts align with the specific needs of each locality. Today, the GMR Varalakshmi Foundation has established a pan-India presence. At all locations, we undertake activities in tune with thrust areas. Beyond India, we extend our CSR activities to the areas surrounding GMR projects in Nepal.

The Foundation works with communities generally wherever the Group has business presence. Today it has a pan-India presence and at all locations, GMR Varalakshmi Foundation takes up activities in tune with thrust areas.

EDUCATION

The Foundation believes that quality education must be accessible to all. It sets up and runs educational institutions of excellence, and also works with communities and government schools.

HEALTH, HYGIENE & SANITATION

Recognising that health is integral to a good quality of life, the Foundation works to improve quality of and access to healthcare, hygiene and sanitation in its communities.

EMPOWERMENT AND LIVELIHOOD

The thrust is on channelising youth and women towards entrepreneurship and livelihood development, so that they may participate equitably in economic progress.
