A new chapter in travel efficiency has unfolded with the Government of India's pioneering "Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme" (FTI-TTP). This initiative, launched on June 22, 2024, by the Hon'ble Minister of Home Affairs, Shri Amit Shah, positions Delhi Airport as the first in India to introduce FTI-TTP for Indian passport holders and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders. Terminal 3, the bustling heart of this gateway to the world, now offers a glimpse into the future of travel.

Imagine this: Travellers disembarking from their flights are no longer just stepping off the plane; they're stepping into a realm designed for ease, efficiency, and comfort. With FTI-TTP, the days of long immigration queues are becoming a thing of the past. Instead, passengers are greeted by sleek, dedicated e-gates that seamlessly guide them through the process, ensuring their journey is nothing short of world-class.

At its core, the FTI-TTP leverages advanced technology to streamline the emigration and immigration processes. By utilizing biometric e-gates, Indian passport holders and OCI cardholders can bypass traditional queues, enjoying a faster and more efficient passage through the airport. This initiative is a testament to how innovation can revolutionize the travel experience, making it not just smoother but also smarter.

Here's how you can embark on this seamless journey:

Register for FTI-TTP:

  • Visit the government's official website at www.ftittp.mha.gov.in and fill out the required details.
  • The Bureau of Immigration will verify your information.
  • Once approved, you'll receive an email or SMS with instructions to complete your registration by enrolling your biometrics-fingerprints and facial image-at the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) or a dedicated counter at Delhi Airport.

Navigating the FTI-TTP Process at the Airport:

  • At departure, present your boarding pass and visa at the check-in counter.
  • With your boarding pass in hand, proceed to the TTP e-gates in the Immigration area.
  • Scan your passport and boarding pass at the first e-gate. If both are verified, move seamlessly to the next e-gate.
  • At the second e-gate, your face will be scanned. Once verified, your emigration process is complete.
  • Arriving passengers will follow a similar, streamlined procedure upon arrival.

The FTI-TTP isn't just a programme; it's a paradigm shift in how we perceive travel. By embracing technology and focusing on passenger convenience, it transforms what used to be a tedious process into a swift, effortless journey.

As Delhi Airport takes the lead in this groundbreaking initiative, it cements its position as not just a hub for flights but a beacon of innovation. This is the future of travel-where efficiency meets sophistication, and every journey becomes a pleasure.

The Government of India plans to launch the FTI TTP services in leading Indian Airports in the months to come.
